Ordering & Our Products

When placing an order for goods from one of the ARC Jewellery shops linked to this website you, the customer, are entering into a contract with ARC Jewellery, for us to supply you with the goods described at the price stated. The contract becomes binding upon our acceptance of your order (via email) in which case the following terms and conditions will apply.

All contracts with ARC Jewellery are subject to UK Law.

Each item of jewellery is individually handmade using quality materials. Most of my jewellery is made to order.  As each piece is individually crafted by hand the item received will vary very slightly from the one shown; as is the nature with handmade goods, no two are ever absolutely identical. It will however be a good and close representation of the original design.

Some pieces are a 'one off' in which case the item shown in the product photographs is the actual one that you will receive.

Orders will be packaged in either an eco card pouch or a presentation box so that they are ready to give as a gift.  All orders are shipped with Royal Mail.  UK orders are shipped by 2nd class post as standard and worldwide orders are shipped by tracked International post, unless otherwise stated or if a postage upgrade is requested.

Each item of jewellery is handmade using quality silver (Sterling 925 or Argentium 940). The only pre-made silver components used in ARC Jewellery designs are chains, ear scrolls (stud earring backs) and pin protectors (the small cap at the end of a pin brooch).

Other component parts may be beads, glass, semi-precious stones, shell, pearl, pottery or enamel.

All other silver components are handmade by me in my workshop.  All items that exceed 7.78 grams are hallmarked at the London Assay Office and will incorporate the initials ARC; this is my unique makers mark registered with the London Assay Office.

When ordering via Etsy regional taxes may apply for overseas purchases.  This is applied by Etsy not by ARC Jewellery.

When an order is placed for items or services not listed in the ARC Jewellery shops (e.g. alterations, repairs, postage upgrades or custom orders) an invoice will be issued by email, this can be paid using a credit, debit card.

Goods will not be shipped until payment is received in full.

Prices shown are subject to change at any time without prior notice.

Duty
International customers are responsible for any customs duty, import tax or state tax that may apply. These costs are not included in the price of the item.

Shipping Address
Please ensure that the delivery address provided with your order is complete and accurate (including house name, number, PO box number, street name, postcode or zip code etc..).

ARC Jewellery cannot take responsibility for items that are not delivered because an incomplete or inaccurate address was provided.

If goods are returned as undelivered there will be additional postage charges to pay for the order to be re-shipped.

If an item is not received and needs to be re-shipped it will be sent to the original address on the order only.  Shipping to an alternative address will be treated as a new order.

If the original address proivided was incorrect or needs to be changed or amended, this is treated as a complete new order and full charges (item & postage) will apply.

Returns and Refunds

We hope that all our customers will be completely happy with our products and service; that is always our aim. However, should you be dissatisfied with either then please read the ‘Returns and Refunds’ terms below and contact us immediately so that we can quickly resolve any issues.

Change of mind…

Please read the information provided for each item carefully to ensure that the size, colour and description of the item being purchased meets your requirements.

If however you change your mind about the goods you have ordered you have 14 days, from date of receipt, to contact me in writing to request a refund. Please contact us here or get in touch via Etsy or Folksy, providing full details of your order (order number, delivery address, name) and why you wish to return the item.

I will send you an acknowledgement email confirming the return address to use.

Items should be returned within 14 days, in the original gift box/bag and suitable outer packaging (i.e padded envelope or box). I would strongly recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery so that the item being returned is insured, tracked and a proof of receipt signature can be obtained.

Royal Mail do not insure or provide compensation for silver jewellery items that are lost or damaged when using standard post (1st or 2nd class) or ‘Signed for’ services. Only when using Special Delivery.

Unfortunately I cannot refund items damaged or lost in transit to ARC Jewellery. Compensation must be sought from the carrier or postal service used. I would strongly recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery for this reason. Please ensure that goods being returned are suitably packaged and clearly and correctly addressed.

Any item being returned must be unworn, in its original condition and suitable for resale. If it does not meet these criteria we have a right (under UK Law) to deduct monies from any refunds where goods show signs of diminished value.

A refund will be carried out within 14 days of receipt of returned goods. The refund will be processed via the original payment source only. Once the refund is actioned it may take a further 3-5 days or so to reach the destination account.

The refund will not include the cost of return postage, this is the responsibility of the customer.

We will confirm the refund details to you in writing by email.

Exceptions to the above

Items that have been modified to suit customer requirements and bespoke orders are both exempt from cancellation/return unless they are found to be faulty due to an error on the part of ARC Jewellery.

Once a refund is agreed it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that goods are returned to us in a timely manner and in the original packaging.

Terms of refund for faulty items

Depending on the circumstances, the customer may be entitled to a repair, replacement or a full or partial refund. Fault reports will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

This applies to items returned within 6 months of receipt.

Please Note that...
• Items that are damaged through wear & tear, alteration or improper use cannot be refunded.

• Willful or malicious damage to goods voids all rights to a refund.

• Unfortunately we cannot refund items damaged or lost in transit to ARC Jewellery. Compensation must be sought from the carrier or postal service used. We would strongly recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery for this reason.

Our Website

We aim to provide as much information as possible about each of the products for sale on our online shops by displaying several photographs of the jewellery and a detailed description including colours and approximate sizes. Every effort has been made to ensure that the images and text provide an accurate representation of the finished product.

The photographs used are taken close up using a macro lens to show detail and colour. Please be aware of this when ordering and pay attention to the sizes given in the details. If you are unsure and need further clarification please contact us before ordering.

Please be aware that colours shown will be entirely dependant on the set-up of your monitor or device so cannot be 100% guaranteed.
